In NFL Week 12 Monday Night Football tonight at US Bank Stadium, the Minnesota Vikings (6-5 SU, 7-3-1 ATS) will take on the Chicago Bears (3-8, 4-6-1) in an attempt to bounce back from their first loss in six games. The Vikings’ attempt to catch up to the Detroit Lions, who are leading the NFC North, was thwarted by last weekend’s 21-20 loss in Denver. That ended a five-game winning streak. The Bears lost 31-26 in Detroit last weekend, extending their current road losing streak to three games.

With Justin Fields back from injury last week, the Bears were able to push the Lions to the very end of their Ford Field defeat. The Bears have now dropped 12 straight games against NFC North opponents, including five straight to Minnesota. Chicago has been just as untrustworthy against the number. In their last 14 games, they are 2-12 ATS. Fields is back at quarterback, but the Bears still need to find a way to ignite their offense. The Bears have averaged less than 19 points during their three-game losing streak on the road, and they have scored 17 points or fewer in four of their last six games.

Last weekend, the Vikings lost their chance to win six straight games at Mile High Stadium as they gave up three touchdowns to the Broncos in the last quarter of their game. Minnesota has covered seven out of eight games since beginning the season with a three-game losing streak. The Vikings have been winning close games like they did last season. Ten of their 11 games this season have been decided by a single score.

QB Josh Dobbs, who was acquired from the Cardinals, has become an important part of the Vikings offense. Following Kirk Cousins’ injury, Dobbs was brought in to lead the offense. In his three starts with Minnesota, he has averaged 215.7 passing yards and thrown for four touchdowns against just one pick.

Last week in Detroit, the Bears got off to a quick start but were unable to capitalize on their chances, as they only managed to score three points overall on three interceptions by Lions QB Jared Goff. Despite starting the game with an impressive 75-yard scoring drive, Chicago was unable to score on three drives when inside the Lions 25. The Bears have scored just four passing touchdowns and had seven interceptions in their last six games.

During their game against Denver last week, the Vikings dominated for long stretches of time, but they hurt themselves by committing three turnovers. Denver turned those into field goals that ended up winning the game. The Vikings are still among the league’s most stingy teams in spite of the loss from last week. In their last six games, they have given up just 18 points and one scoring run.

In addition to their current 5-1 SU stretch, the Vikings are 6-0 ATS. The Bears are 5-13-1 ATS in their last 19 games and 1-4 ATS in their last five against Minnesota.
