Yankees star Aaron Judge remains out of the New York lineup. His healthy teammates are currently scoring a lot of runs against the Baltimore Orioles. Tonight, when the American League East rivals continue their four-game series at Yankee Stadium, New York has the opportunity to take the series.

Since Judge was hurt on June 3 at Dodger Stadium while running into the right field fence, New York has a record of 13–13. The Yankees are 9-5 after starting with eight losses in 12 games without the 2022 AL MVP.

Six times in the last nine games, including the first two games in this series against the Orioles, the Yankees have scored at least five runs. After winning 8-4 on Tuesday afternoon to follow up a 6-3 victory on Monday, New York now leads the season series 5-3.

For the Yankees on Tuesday, Gleyber Torres hit a home run and scored three times. In the eighth inning on Monday, Harrison Bader hit a three-run blast that gave the team the lead. Yesterday, he added a two-run double. When Bader plays for New York, the Yankees are 27-12.

Baltimore has lost six of its last seven games while only scoring 18 runs over that span. On Tuesday, Adam Frazier hit a two-run homer and Aaron Hicks hit a solo shot in a three-run fifth inning to tie the game against their former team. The Orioles, however, were 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position and struck out 10 times.

The Orioles were also without Austin Hays, who could make a comeback after missing the previous two games due to a left hip contusion. Hays took swings in the batting cage on Tuesday after suffering the injury against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday.

On Wednesday, the Yankees will call up Randy Vasquez from Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre to make his third career start. On May 26 against the San Diego Padres, Vasquez made his major league debut and was tagged with the loss after allowing two runs in 4.2 innings. On June 8, he earned his first victory by defeating the Chicago White Sox 3-0 while allowing just two hits over 5.1 innings.

Dean Kremer of Baltimore (8-4, 5.04 ERA) will try to beat his win total from the previous year when he was 8-7 with a 3.23 ERA. On June 18 against the visiting Chicago Cubs, Kremer earned his most recent victory by allowing three runs and one run over the course of five innings. He has since pitched twice, giving up 10 runs in 10 innings. On Friday at home against the Twins, he was hit for seven runs on seven hits in just three innings.

In seven starts against the Yankees in his career, Kremer is 1-3 with a 5.61 ERA. The last time he faced them was on April 7 in Baltimore, where he went five-plus innings, gave up four runs on five hits, and received a no-decision in the Orioles’ 7-6 victory.
