At the end of this article, Oskeim will briefly touch upon where the money is going with respect to this weekend’s NFL Divisional Round Playoff games.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Oskeim toll free at 888-631-6459.

College Basketball Games Attracting Sharp Money:

  • Rotation #721: Tulane (-1)
  • Rotation #726: Central Michigan (+2)
  • Rotation #734: Toledo (-7)
  • Rotation #742: West Virginia (+2.5)
  • Rotation #756: Texas (+2)
  • Rotation #767: New Mexico (+6)

Meanwhile, the betting public is heavily favoring two conference road favorites tonight in Kansas and Iowa State.  These two sides provide the greatest split between sharp vs. square money as professional bettors are strongly favoring the home underdogs in both contests.

It is important to keep in mind that professional bettors always get the best of the number as most sharps bet numbers, not teams.  For example, many sharps moved money on Central Michigan when the point spread hit +2.5 (and +3 at some locations), whereas the public will undoubtedly chase the steam and take the home underdog at a much worse number.

NFL Divisional Round Playoff Games: Where the Sharp Money is Going

The NFL game that has attracted the most sharp money at this early juncture is Seattle, who many professional bettors have rated higher than Carolina in their power ratings.  In fact, some professionals actually believe the wrong team is favored in this game even after taking into account home field advantage.

While Green Bay certainly looked impressive in its second-half dismantling of the Redskins, some pro bettors are not convinced that the Packers will be competitive in Arizona Saturday night.  The current number of +/- 7 looks to be right based upon power ratings, but it is our belief that more professional money will be coming in on the Cardinals prior to kickoff.
