The Green Bay Packers (5-8 SU, 5-8 ATS) will take on the Los Angeles Rams (4-9, 4-8-1) at home on tonight in Week 15 of the 2022 NFL season. The Packers are the clear favorite and while they still have a long way to go to make the postseason, they can make some progress coming out of their bye week.

The Packers will almost certainly have to win out to have any chance at making the postseason in the NFC. The defending Super Bowl champion Rams will start Baker Mayfield at quarterback once again following his impressive performance in a 17-16 win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week.

Tonight, Green Bay is expected to experience extremely chilly weather, with lows in the single digits. The point spread and the total have dropped as a result of the forecast. In freezing conditions, points will be hard to come by, making it more difficult for the hosts who are now 7-point favorites.

The Rams are not playing for much in the last four games of the season besides the draft positioning of their first-round pick that goes to the Detroit Lions. Rams head coach Sean McVay is hopeful that the upset of the Raiders last week will keep the Rams upbeat as they continue the season. No defending Super Bowl champion has ever experienced such a miserable follow-up campaign.

Mayfield played like his future was on the line last Thursday in primetime. He will have another chance to perform in front of a national audience while competing against one of the all-time greats in Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay. Green Bay will not win the NFC North division for a fourth consecutive year, but they do have a remote chance of qualifying for the postseason as a wild-card team over the final month of the regular season.

The Packers have the luxury of playing three of their final four games on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. That will make it difficult for opponents. Green Bay will be at home to face Minnesota and Detroit, who are both ahead of the Packers in the division standings. The Packers will most likely need some help in addition to winning out if they are going to get into the postseason.

To win, Green Bay must continue to perform as it did in a 28-19 victory over the Chicago Bears prior to the bye week. The Packers rallied to cover the 3.5-point spread, with rookie wide receiver Christian Watson scoring two touchdowns. Watson is in the running for the NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Green Bay is 2-7 SU in its last nine games and 3-7 ATS in its last ten. The Rams are now 1-6 SU in their last seven games. They are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15. Against Green Bay, the Rams are 1-7 SU and 0-8 ATNFS in the last eight head-to-head meetings.
