College football teams with new head coaches generally struggle in the first year as the players are often times learning new schemes on both sides of the ball. In addition, the new head coach is left with recruits from the previous regime, which means that he often times does not have the best personnel to run his system.

Despite the coaching changes listed above, I still like Houston, Fresno State, Ohio State, UCLA and Pittsburgh to out-perform expectations this season.
